Betty Bowers Reports

Betty Bowers, American's best Christian, files her report on the presidential debate.

I am just back from Miami and I am pleased to say that our handsome President thought that the debates went wonderfully and according to plan. Just like Iraq. In your giddiness from the relief of your disloyal vision, once again, being corrected by the balm of our President's thoughtful speechwriters, don't forget to take time out of your day to stop someone on the street and implore him or her to "Remember Poland!"

Lava Lamp Syndicate

Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate. This is an extensive site, with lots of lava lamp information and photos. The lava lamp shown here is from their vintage gallery. It's a "Decorator" model.

The planters are worth a lot more if they still have their original bouquet without fading.) However, and I'm not intentionally trying to confuse you, the Enchantress Planter and the Elegant came from the factory with their own flowers. The Decorator, as pictured, came without an arrangement and left the purchaser to do the "decorating.

Dilbert's Ultimate House

I'm not a big fan of the Dilbert comic strip, but this is kind of interesting: Dilbert's Ultimate House.

Q. What kind of house would a guy like Dilbert want to live in?

A. That's the question that kicked off this project. One thing is certain: He'd be appalled at the types of houses generally available, including the newest ones. They're hard to clean, energy piggish, ungreen, hard to rewire, bereft of storage space, and full of rooms that no one ever uses. The home office, if a house even has one, is closet-sized, and the workshop is stuck behind the rear bumper of your car in the garage. Obviously these homes are built to look good first, because that's what sells. Function, ongoing costs and convenience are embarrassing afterthoughts

Blogging With Excel

There are several blogs that cover Excel, but I think there is only one blog that uses Excel to create the blog: Philosophistry. Notice the sheet tabs at the bottom of the page.
