Making A Slide Show

XATShow is a free program that lets you create a slide show from your photographs. Just add your photos and (optional) music files. You have several options for output -- an *.exe file, a screensaver, or a CD image (playable by DVD players that support the Video CD format).

I played around with this last night, and it works pretty well. Today I think I'll get serious and create a Video CD of our Hawaii photos.

The Bureau Of Corporate Allegory

The Bureau of Corporate Allegory. Interesting images from old stock certificates.

Each has an engraving of some allegorical figure, etched with the same care you find on money, but depicting scenes of surreal Olympian figures designed as a metaphor for business... The images were too peculiar to pass up. I bought a batch, scanned them in, and voila: the Bureau of Corporate Allegory.

Note: The Next/Back link on these pages is a bit messed up.

No Toilet Paper Shortage

Apparently, there's a rumor circulating that the Southern California wildfires has caused a severe toilet paper shortage. According to Snopes, it's not true.
