Bush Preparing For War

I don't know if this is funny or extremely sad. From the Washington Post: We Begin Combing in Five Minutes!:

The White House is vowing a strong retaliatory response after the BBC aired live video of President Bush getting his hair coiffed in the Oval Office as he squirmed in his chair and practiced on the teleprompter minutes before Wednesday night's speech announcing the launch of military operations against Saddam Hussein.

The British network broadcast 1 minute and 37 seconds of presidential primping to hundreds of millions of viewers in 200 countries around the world before Bush's formal address at 10:15 p.m.

Hopefully, the clip will be available on the Net for all to see.

Update: The short video clip is available at The Smoking Gun (thanks, Kevin Spicer)

Massive Corporation

Massive Corporation is an excellent site that parodies the BS-ridden corporate sites that plague the Web.

Our working motivation is based on the simple premise that we are a massive corporation, and we must continue to be both massive and corporate.

Our goal is to make sure corporateness is woven into the fabric of our company - into all our processes, into day-to-day business practices, creating a mindset within every employee and manager that will allow them to consciously think about corporate massiveness in everything that they do. No other organization can outperform us at what we do best: being not just another massive corporation, but the one and only Massive Corporation.

Impossible Worlds

A Russian site devoted to impossible images. You'll find art, animations, wireframe images, and even a program that enables you to create your own impossible image. Unfortunately, the site is rather slow for me.

Your Age on Mars

If I lived on Mars, I would be only 27 years old. Calculate your age on other planets.

We all learn in grade school that the planets move at differing rates around the sun. While earth takes 365 days to make one circuit, the closest planet, Mercury, takes only 88 days. Poor, ponderous, and distant Pluto takes a whopping 248 years for one revolution.
