What Music Looks Like

If nothing else, it's a pretty cool image: The World of Music.

This is a 2D layout of artist-artist similarity graph build from the Yahoo! Launch usage data. The projection was first done onto 3D sphere using Semi Definite Programming (SDP) model and then "unrolled" into 2D.
