Saving Money On Calendars
Once again, presented as a public service. If you're too cheap to buy a 2006 calendar, here's a tip: Find an old calendar for any of these years, and it will be fully functional in 2006: 1911, 1922, 1933, 1939, 1950, 1961, 1967, 1978, 1989, 1995.
Correction based on comments: By "fully functional," I mean the ability to tell the day of the week for any date. Moon phases may be different, and some holidays will be incorrect.
Bonus: Here's an Excel workbook that shows substitute calendars for 1901-2030 (a very nice-looking pattern emerges). Maybe someone can modify it so it also identifies common moon phases.
