Dagwood Sandwich
If you want to make a Dagwood sandwich, prepare to be confused. A quick search on Google leads me to suspect that there is not a set of definitive instructions for building a Dagwood Sandwich.
The usually reliable All Recipes is not at all helpful. They simply provide a definition rather than a recipe:
Dagwood sandwich: Named after Dagwood Bumstead, a character in the "Blondie" comic strip, this extremely thick sandwich is piled high with a variety of meats, cheeses, condiments and lettuce.
Here's one, from Media Tinker. They give us a drawing, but it looks absolutely nothing like the sandwiches that Dagwood actually makes.

And here's one from Culinary.net. That's looking more like it, but it seems to be missing some critical ingredients.

And what's up with this? That's not even three inches tall!

The Recipe Source has one (but no image). Ingredients include a lobster tail, a fish, an eagle talon, and a pot of spaghetti.
I found a photo of a restaurant called Blondies. The sign consisted of a huge sandwich. Note the presence of a lobster, spaghetti, and a fish -- but I don't see an eagle talon.
