Calculating Blog Influence

A few days ago I asked if this blog has influenced you in any way. The comments were very interesting, and it's nice to know that I've had a (mostly) positive effect on people.

Today I found a way to actually measure blog influence: BlogInfluence. Enter your blog URL, and does some checking and applies this formula:

[(blog+posts+web links) + (bloglines subs * 2)] * 1+(Pagerank/10)

The BlogInfluence value for this blog is 139,355.8. The number, of course, is completely meaningless without any point of reference. But they do provide a colorful little graphic to add to your site:
