Animal Prices Listed
Rob did some research and compiled a handy list (with illustrations): The Price of Animals.
Animals! They are great, aren't they? And they are valuable... especially the mammals. Many animals are for sale. Painstaking research, (calls to Petsmart and emails to Brooke Byrd and the USDA) has revealed their typical cash prices.
Prices are all over the board. You can get yourself a ladybug for as little a 1-cent. A cricket however, will set you back more than 10 times that amount.
At the high end, a horse (for riding) is $2,500, a bluefin tuna is $7,700, and an elephant is a whopping $13,000.
There seems to be a correlation between animal size and price. Larger animals tend to cost more than smaller animals.
