Post Your Pet
(with comments)
I don't think we've ever done this. Just post a photo of your pet (or pets). One photo per pet. If you'd like, tell us the pet's name.
If you don't know how to post a photo you'll find simple instructions here.

Comment posted 16-Oct-2009 @01:14pm:It is amazing to me the visceral connection we have as humans not just to our pets, but to other people's pets, and to animals in general. I mean, personally, I just almost never tire at looking at pictures of pets and watching videos. Each one of these pictures here just warms my heart! I can totally feel the love in each of these photographs, just as I feel the love for my own pets. Speaking of, mine are demanding dinner! I'll try and see if I can upload some pics of mine. Great idea, John! Your blog already has a very warm, community feel. This definitely makes it feel more homey!

- By 3rick. Comment posted 16-Oct-2009 @11:05pm:ST. ANTHONY, Idaho -- Police are investigating a case of animal neglect after an 11-pound male dog was found covered in nine pounds of dirty and matted fur.
St. Anthony Police Chief James Smith says police found the dog in a backyard after a neighbor called to report an animal of unknown species in the area.
Smith says the owner of the animal has been identified, but charges are unlikely because the owner is disabled, the Rexburg Standard Journal reported Wednesday night.
Deb Coleman, president of the Humane Society for the Upper Valley, says the dog was taken to the Fremont Animal Clinic, where it had to be anesthetized to remove the matted hair. The pooch is expected to fully recover, and is now in the care of the Humane Society. - By . Comment posted 16-Oct-2009 @11:21pm:Curtis....

spoon, I love your curly dog; he looks very wise.
Max is incredible - what a hunk!
Gary, Ralph looks like such a sweet boy. I found my soul mate in an animal shelter once; his name was Crackers and he was my partner in crime at a time when things were tough; Kane looks like him. The animal shelter is the best place in the world to find unconditional love.
Otis is SO cool and Cara and Henry and Nick and Sandi and Sadie and Penny look like lapfuls of love. Calvin and Hobbes look like they came off the cover of a magazine - gorgeous animals.
Thanks for the neat comments about Tyson; he's still a puppy - six mos old - and, though he's supposed to be half lab, we don't know what the other half is - any ideas?
I'm almost out of characters, but have to say that Paula had the right idea when she named her menagerie - antidepressants, indeed. Beautiful! - By . Comment posted 17-Oct-2009 @01:46pm:Oh, heck with it ...
I have to say that my lap feels very empty without a kitty in it nowadays; I've been fortunate to share my life with many cats and I sure do miss the rumbling purr, the warmth, and the peace that comes from knowing there's nothing to fear - the cats always have everything under control. I miss my beautiful calico, Mom Cat, so much; we were together for 16 years and she always kept me on track.
Many commenters here have sent pics of their sweet pets who have moved on to their next adventure; it says a lot about the critter/person link that we consider them still a significant part of our lives. Love doesn't die.
