British Murder Mystery
(with comments)

There's always something going on at the Nick Hodge country estate. The latest:

Forgot to mention on Sunday that there had been a body found in the local woods down the road. I had seen a police car standing guard with blue and white tape cordoning off a large area with TV crews filming down a small lane near where the kebab van sits at night. turns out this morning it was a woman in her fifties, but they are saying the death was not suspicious but why she died there was…whatever that means?

It's probably related to Excel, somehow.

    Kebab Van - A mobile vendor of Salmonella and chips, very popular after the pubs have shut - can't imagine why.

    No, for curries you go to an Indian restaurant with a booze licence to continue the drinking until you're thrown out of there.
    The kebab vans have largely supplanted the hot dog/burger vans which we used to have to rely upon for our food poisoning requirements.

    ...and strangely, the kebab van sits right opposite the pub. Could it just be food poisoning or was she just disappointed with the Excel 2010 Technical Preview???

    I've heard tales of 24 hour indian food restaurants in the UK, but until today I only believed them to be just stories... now I'm not so sure...

    I know, it doesn't say "Manapua Truck" on it like a Kebab Van, but in Hawaii it doesn't have to...everybody knows.

    But more to the point... who gets assigned to the case? Might it be Inspector Morse... DCI Jane Tennison... perhaps Commander Adam Dalgliesh? Maybe they'll go overseas for Kurt Wallander?

    Kebab vans are the UK equivalent of taco wagons in the US. Taco trailers paying modest rent in depressed retail areas are excellent. Nothing like a Torta Milanesa from the trailer a few blocks up. I dearly love tortas, but I'd love to have kebabs as an option.
