Looks like the same result under NAFTA.

Yes, a government that puts out propaganda is much better... oh wait...
  3. By scot. Comment posted 08-Feb-2010 @10:06am:
    Nothing wrong with socialism.

Gotta blame the closed factories on something.

Socialism is terrible - except for the fact that every wealthy, prosperous nation on earth has a social safety net. In fact, one could almost say that for a nation to be wealthy, powerful and to posses the capacity for ingenuity, socialized programs are in fact a prerequisite. At least that is what the track record shows us 100% of the time.

Of course I could be wrong, and the fact that all prosperous nations have strong social programs is merely a coincidence.

Actually, Onecos, it might do you good to look into what he says. There just might be something to it. At there very least, you might find something concrete to refute it, rather than just a knee-jerk reaction.

Onecos, you've described exactly my reaction to your posts - amazing, just amazing.

And how you wingnuts are having fun with "corpseman" - my, oh my. Obama is SO SO much more intelligent and articulate than your characters could ever hope to be, it's just hilarious how you've plucked out an Obama mistake and are running wild with it when your man Bush is a babbling idiot whose speeches were worth listening to just for the amusement as he stumbled around, trying to cover his lack of comprehension of the English language with cocksure bluff. George Bush, the President who was so sure of himself he saw no need to put effort into the simple task of practicing the word "nuclear" until he could pronounce it correctly, even though he used the word multiple times in every speech - yes, George Bush was your man. Wow. And now you put Sarah "you betcha" Palin out there in front of the world and we all listen to her and shudder.

    Mindblowing stupidity, indeed.

So free education and healthcare would be a bad thing?

Hahaha, this is from the preamble of that comic:
The fall of the Roman empire is traced to Socialism. Greece fell under the burden of Socialism.

Not mentioning the fact that socialism emerged in the late 18th century, the Roman empire actually fell due to factors not stranger to modern civilization: over-consumption of resources, decadence, corruption, etc.

I agree she's attractive but this conservative has not put her out as a frontrunner. I do however think she could do a better job than our current President. He loves the man in the mirror too much.

Mary: Obama is so intelligent he believes in the ####### warming hoax. That, or he just knows how to get more money out of idiots who suck down that swill.
