Running this blog is basically a hobby for me. I spend at least 20 hours each week working on it, and my Web hosting costs about $80 per month. I have no interest in actually earning any money from this hobby, but it would be nice to cover my hosting expenses.

If you like the site, and would like to help out, here's what you can do:

1. Sign up for eMusic

Click the button below to sign up for a free 25-song trial from eMusic. No obligation. If you like what you hear, continue with a monthly subscription fee and keep downloading music. If not, just cancel and you don't owe a cent. I'm an eMusic affiliate, so if you sign up using the button below, I'll get $1.00 plus a portion of your monthly fees if you decide to continue.

Unlike other music download services, eMusic sells real MP3 files -- no usage restrictions and no DRM. If you subscribe, it works out to about $0.25 per song.

You can view my eMusic Picks.

2. Buy stuff at Amazon.com

If you're going to buy something from amazon.com, use the search form below to go to the site. As an Amazon affiliate, I'll get a small portion of whatever you spend there.

3. Send me a CD

I like music, and my primary goal in life is to fill up a 200Gb hard drive with MP3 files that have been legally-obtained. You can show your support by sending me a CD that you think I'd like (it won't pay the hosting bills, but it will keep me entertained).

To get a feel for my musical tastes (and to make sure I don't already have the CD), download this PDF file of my music collection. Send it to:

John Walkenbach
P.O. Box 68797
Tucson, AZ 85737

I'm especially interested in CDs from independent artists. If that's you, please send me a copy. If I like it, you'll get a plug on my blog -- which may be good for a few hundred extra hits to your Web site.

4. Tell your friends

When all is said and done, the only way I have to gauge the success of this blog is by the number of people who come here. If you like it, tell your friends. If you have a blog, please provide a link.
