Peace Prize Rules
(with comments)

A reasonable question:

Question: How many countries do you have to be at war with to be disqualified from receiving the Nobel Peace Prize?

Answer: Five. Barack Obama has waged war against only Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia. He's holding off on Iran until he actually gets the prize.

Is the US really at war with Pakistan? Don't think so.

Afghanistan: It's a UN approved war so it doesn't count

    Somalia: In Africa, doesn't count

Iraq: it was Bush war, so it doesn't count.

Seriously, all US presidents should be denied Nobel Peace prize by default forever. Nobel Commitee should know better.

I have apparently missed some news stories.

Photo from that web page is pretty odd:

Brings to mind the lyrics from a Pete Seeger song that got edited out of a broadcast of the Smothers Brother's show:

"Waist Deep in the Big Muddy,
and the Big Fool said to Push On...."

The Big Fool in those days was Lyndon Johnson...either another Texas Oilman bent on world domination, or a liberal socialist distracted from the great societal programs he wanted to enact at home by the chores of maintaining empire abroad...take your pick. Not much has changed.

That photo is more than odd.

    Are they baptising him?

I'm so confused. I thought the Army Corps of Engineers could build a bridge in fifteen minutes. Why are these grunts getting their MRE's wet?

Good, Brocodunce. Bad America! BAD! BAD! Evil America!! BAD! The world would be so much better a place were there no evil America.

The peace prize needs to be preserved for worthy recipients like Arafat and Algore.

Based on the raised right hands, prominent placement of the flag, and the fact that it was photographed, that's most likely a reenlistment ceremony.

Scot, america is not evil, but YOU are.

ahah i'm kidding of course, you're allright.
Nice try, by the way, but I never said that Arafat or Gore should get a Nobel. I wonder where you get these strange ideas.
Soooo, what are you saying exactly?

I have no idea. Really. I don't. My brain is damaged but on the mend.

Since he wrote Al Gore's name as "Algore", it is obvious that scot is a "dittohead" (rush limbaugh follower).

Limbaugh coined Algore? Cool. I see/hear it everywhere like "repug", "neocon", "libtard" "demonrat", etc. It's just part of any opposing party's way of trying to belittle the other. Insulting is fun.

Doncha' luv Amerika? The rest of the world gets on with its mundane, boring lives, yet 'Merka is always at something called 'War'. Weird. The rest of the world doesn't get to experience this thing, but you folks in the US consistently surround yourself with 'wars' 'vets' 'deployment' etc. It's very weird.
