Medicinal Effects Of Cocoa Krispies
(with comments)
Snap, Crackle, Pop. You're kids won't get swine flu: Critics blast Kellogg's claim that cereals can boost immunity.
Kellogg, the nation's largest cereal maker, is being called to task by critics who object to the swine flu-conscious claim now bannered in bold lettering on the front of Cocoa Krispies cereal boxes: "Now helps support your child's IMMUNITY."
Of all claims on cereal boxes, "this one belongs in the hall of fame," says Kelly Brownell, director of Yale University's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity. "By their logic, you can spray vitamins on a pile of leaves, and it will boost immunity."

- By ElMoney. Comment posted 03-Nov-2009 @08:16am:I will say that the faint "snap, crackle, pop" sends me into a deep state of relaxation, and eliminates any fears I may have of going without a sugar fix. Yes, talk to me, little crispies. Tell me you love me and everything is going to all right.

I wonder if swine flu will turn out to be better or worse than the last big flu scare -- the avian flu. I thought the Surgeon General said that swine flu was on the mild side, as flues go.
I'm guessing flu strains have been around as long as man but maybe it'll go away next year ... if we all panic enough.
The commies have been pounding away on this flu business for 10 years. The solution? Nationalize the pharmaceutical companies ... you know ... because the government can do things like manage the vaccines much better than the private sector. At least, so says this Marxist from the "Green Left" website. Of course, he was talking about the avian flu but so what. Green is the new Red. - By Broccoli. Comment posted 03-Nov-2009 @12:08pm:Evil Klown, you seems confused. We are only talking about cereals and bogus health claims. still afraid of the lefties? Just relax.
